What do you think is the best monitor size for PC gaming?

Have had 24", 27", and 32" curved, 27" is my preference at just over a meter.
This question has a it depends answer due to distance you sit at the monitor.

Nice way to get the post count up though for @BCoetzer, at only 22 in over a year, thought you get paid to be on the forum. :p

I have a 32" curved for gaming and working. It's quite nice, but I think 27" would be the perfect size.

It depends on the pixel count. Rarely do you use a monitor just for gaming and you need to consider the interface as well. If it's 1080p you can get away with 24" but 25" is the best. More you need a 32" to be comfortable and for 4k nothing smaller than 34".

depends on what game, I won't play an FPS game on anything bigger than a 24"

but a strategy game I would guess a bigger monitor would be nice

so ... I get the distance you are from the display argument for home theatre ... but PC monitors? really?

how f-ing long are your arms dudes?!?

Do you touch the monitor?

24' 1080p
27' 1440p
32+ 4k

Ppi is the biggest determining factor.

FPS 27" (non-curve)
Everything else +27"

Fanatics will use TN panels. I am talking about those playing on the stage, or at least think they are playing on the stage.

For the average gamer I guess 27" (1440p/140Hz) is where it is. I have never met anyone with a 360Hz IPS/OLED monitor. Many do have 240Hz monitors.

Racing and space SIMs love curved panels: the larger, the better.

24" is still very common, and very doable, and some pros like their 24".

Do you touch the monitor?
not exactly, but wireless keyboard & mouse just doesn't work for me, especially for gaming

so ... if your input devices and your monitor are all plugged into the same PC by default they're gonna be relatively close to each other, and the only way you're sitting more than 1m from your monitor is if you have some crazy orangutan arms (or wireless input devices which is a choice, albeit a wrong choice for gaming)

My first monitor was 13", I have has a 18", a 24 and now a 32". Still think 27" is the ideal size for gaming

I had a friend that used to come to LAN's with his 19" CRT monitor. He needed help to carry it from the car
Haha, just tuck the desktop under one arm and hold the monitor by the stand. Then like my friend watch it all take a tumble down the driveway 🫣
