So meaning to get another iPad to complement my; still good: 3rd Gen. My next one needed to be a Mini for the more pocketable size.
So after a few weeks of trawling the Gum & idiots who advertise the crappy Mini 1 as the far superior Mini 2; they just don't know better; I finally got a break thru.
Guy was desperate...a Silver 16gb WiFi + Cellular Mini 2 for R1500......
yes sir R1500....talk to me.....
Go online now & check the going rate for such a model.
Model Code A1490 meaning happy camper. It was running iOS 9 so right away I could see Slide Over.
It's completely "straight" meaning everything works 100%. Done my checks.
Yes 16gb is limited I agree but I still have the iPad 3 & iPad 1 which houses my movies.
Needless to say I'm a happy camper

The cover is kinda crappy. I'll source a proper Apple one soon.
iPad Mini 1: Non-Retina screen; A5 chip & 512mb RAM means no go
iPad Mini 2: The perfect sweet spot. Retina screen; 64-bit A7 chip & double the RAM amongst other stuff
iPad Mini 3: *Exactly* the same as Mini 2 but with TouchID. Much higher premium on the 2nd hand market due to it being a "3"
iPad Mini 4: The real deal: A8 cpu; 2gb RAM; full iOS9 multitasking but that price
PS: my upgrade is due & my iPhone 6s 64gb is on the way.
So iPhone 6s & Mini 2 not a bad combo for a efficient (read: cheap) bloke.
