It's too late to do anything now. Looting might calm down in a few days, hopefully, but the damage has already been done.

But what should be done is more skills and private sector development and less political interference. Don't be fixated on class politics and resource redistribution, growing the ENTIRE economy gives more opportunities for rich and poor alike (And it's more about the middle class anyway). Inequality isn't about material wealth, it's about opportunity and individual fairness/responsibility.

Unfortunately if you just constantly feed the less fortunate without limits, they just have more children and more less fortunate to feed. Sorry to say. It's a never-ending downward spiral. That's just how it works. There should be a better goal in mind.

Give abled bodies the tools and means for self-dependence, then they would rather work to earn their lot and support their families and stave off the sort of schitt we have now. 1 year in of skills development alongside private sector growth/demand and you will already have less mouths to feed, and it will compound every year alongside increased demand/affordability for private education. It's an upward/positive spiral.

But it's too late for that now. This country is full of free market haters and socialism lovers to even understand.
