Apparently you don't understand since a state of emergency still involves the government. If they've failed you how are they not going to fail you after declaring a state of emergency?I understand what it means, but people still don’t want calm until Ramaphosa steps down.
So all that state capture wasn't looting.Looting
Looting is the act of stealing, or the taking of goods by force, in the midst of a military, political, or other social crisis, such as war, natural disasters, or rioting
You're mistaken.Last I checked no one is forced to use the banking system
Oh? Do tell....You're mistaken.
Fraud and theft if we want to get technical. So all that state capture wasn't looting.
Or the only way to escalate it. If you're dealing with ordinary opportunists it might stop it. Otherwise at best it won't do anything.Shoot to kill, only way to stop it
Let's ignore the fact that it would be illegal to do so for the moment. So you shoot a bunch of people, further anger a group that is organised giving them additional cause to organise around, which then expands their numbers and escalates the conflict. Now what? Shoot some more people and hope to get every single person simultaneously? Change the laws to turn the country into a military dictatorship? And shoot the people that ignore it.
I think more forces from the army should be put in place and they should also be allowed to shoot they should act independent to the police. One questions why were there not more water cannons out there. Why did the police just stand by and not shoot. Instead of maybe having lost 10 people to shooting we now are probably going to have 100s if not 1000s dying of hunger and covid. The hospitals in KLM are running out of food also. What do you think should be done to stop the looting?

I own a spaza ana now I have nothing. Check me on Facebook Nyoni pita pocket. How do I survive from here??It's up to the gorvement to pay people like before. The masses are hungry and it all shows on the videos. Send more troops to stabilize the situation.police won't manage
A fully communist country would have a minimal state, so the above is unlikely.Except SA is not fully communist yet.... this is part of the NDR. In a fully communist country the police would have been militarized and the tanks would roll in.
Socialism, like capitalism, is a broad and pretty general term. Neither has any definitive manifesto written by an individual who invented the concept. Both go back thousands of years.Remember that socialism is progressive
Which would make it no different to the rest of what humanity does.and communism never stops being built.... conveniently so.
Karl Marx said “Under no pretext should arms and ammunition be surrendered; any attempt to disarm the workers must be frustrated, by force if necessary.”It will be interesting to see how many of our regular gun control nuts will still be in favour of it when all is said and done for example..... communists especially believe in no private gun ownership.
What BS. Communism is all about the state and The Party. Centralized control and policy without dissentA fully communist country would have a minimal state, so the above is unlikely.
Even Ian Smith, the then Rhodesian prime minister predicted this.White government, but Africa for Africans remember?
Interesting that old PW even predicted this ****. How did he know?
