What drove you to choose your inverter?

last night when batteries were at 52v (i set to maintain at 52V at night), when i cut Eskom, the aux didnt switch off and geyser drained batteries even though setting was to switch off at 56.5v though
What software version are you currently on? And is it the 8kw or 5kw sunsynk?

There was an issue that was fixed with a software update.

Try running it using battery percentage. It worked for me when I was using LA's on my system.

Hi. need some help please. i have installed an 8kw Sunsynk inverter. 9 x 365w panels on 1 mppt. essential loads connected. geyser and pool pump connected to aux. i have 4 x 200ah gel batteries (not the best but will replace when they burn out). problem i have is that when the grid is down the aux port (ie geyser and pool pump) should not pull anything from the batteries. however, even tho i set the cut off for aux at 52V the Aux continues to suck and pulls the batteries flat very quickly. is there a problem in what i am doing to get this right. in theory the aux (non essential loads) should shut off when the grid is not available but its not doing that. - i use a CBI astute wifi timer for the geyser. We on 3 phase power and the geyser is connected to the circuit with the plugs and lights and the oven is connected on its own phase.

is it connected incorrectly to achieve what i want to achieve here?
From what I understand that the Aux port will still continue to use power from the batteries Until it reaches its specified set SOC to cut off. What's the total load of your geyser and pool pump? I would need to clarify this but some time back I did remember speaking to someone that said there was a terminology error and that the Solar Power should have been load limit.
But there has been a steady amount of information out there of users struggling with their Aux port. Perhaps try putting in the max load and then the battery soc % instead of the V value
Also, a firmware Update might Fix this also the latest firmware is 3367 E41C for the 5K

total load is about 2.8kw (geyser at 2kw and pool pump around 800w). problem is that its not cutting when it goes below the set voltage but i will try the percentage option. guy at sunsynk told me i cant use the % cos not bms on gel. also he told me to untick the option "On Grid always on" - not sure why though but he says that will cut off the aux when grid isnt there? - can you confirm this?

Synsynk did really make it a bit difficult with this system, Looked at one of their instructional videos on the aux and said that the port only uses a battery and that the solar will charge the battery at the same time confuggled the heck out of me (Unless Solar is being Stepped down to battery voltage and meet at a common DC rail) I think maybe try the % because the inverter sees SOC value as in your display so it could be that the machine is programmed to work as suck to see % and not voltage, untick it. It is a high possibility I could be wrong but that setting is maybe as a bypass to tell the inverter that the AUX port must believe the Grid is always there even if it isn't.

OK
@Weable Technology I apologise for things I said this week I believe I was out of line. I was going through a lot of personal stuff and I guess that just shortened my fuse considerably, and yes I was maybe a tad bit too harsh about the product listed on the website. I apologise, I acted like a jerk. Sorry!

Thank you all for the help and comments. I think i have found the issue. so it seems when you cut off the grid. the inverter doesnt cut off the Aux port immediately, it takes about 10 seconds. in that time tho my geyser is still drawing 2.5kw and effectively drains the battery cos the battery is not setup to push that amount so quickly (its gel - which is rubbish) to the point where it gets to the restart voltage and then the inverter restarts. once it restarts the aux is off. the battery still has voltage to continue powering the house but unfortuanately seems like its a battery issue. stronger battery would hold up for the 10seconds that it takes to cut off the aux. I managed to figure this out by running the pool pump which is not as demanding (800w) and then cut eskom and left it and then eventually 10s later it kicked off the aux and batteries continued to power the house.

only thing i havent tested now is if the geyser is on but the solar is pushing but the solar isnt enough and the battery starts getting drained, will the aux be cut off when the voltage on the battery drops to the what its set to under the aux load settings or does it matter if the solar is attached and working at the same time
