Back in 2014, inverters were few and far between. I imported 6 from a Taiwanese supplier and they are still in use today

4 x 24v 6kw units
2 x 48v 8 kw units

They worked out at R3900 each for the 6Kw and R4900 for the 8Kw

Since then have fitted 9 Mecer units. All ok except for the batteries. Lead-acid proving useless, so have gone for Li-Ion from Blue Nova in Somerset West
Pricing has changed a lot over the years and increased drastically but considering that older electronics was made with more material and today they essentially reduced the amount of material and made it more expensive

Lithium is the way. . . Pricing used to be way off a few years back compared with lead batteries but they seem to be catching up and being more on par as more players come into the market

Does an S-100 fit inside?
Yes, it fits according to the supplier they have customers taking these and planning to add a hubble later on as it already comes with a battery, There is another option that does come without the battery but a different design. Similar to the Mecer BBOne units.

There’s a lot of factors that are important when buying an inverter
- Did you do research about the product?
Yes.
- Was your decision influenced by an expert or a recommendation by a friend?
Expert (myself)
- Are you satisfied with your purchase?
Yes.
- Would you have chosen differently?
Yes

I've bought a few different inverters over the decades.

First was a 3 phase grid tied Growatt 10KW, then 1 then another 2 Victron Multiplus (which I would have to say was underwhelming, and full of fun bugs), and then a Sunsynk 8KW hybrid.

You can see how equipment has matured over the last decade and a bit though.
Totally agree with you here. . Equipment has changed a lot and improved over the years with loads of lots of exciting features being added with every new version or update.

First step.... with all due respect.
Fix your website, it doesn't display properly... in Firefox, and also, hire competent people not idiots that lead me to believe a stand is an actual tablet
Don't be that guy

Jy verstaan nie Engels nie, so ek sal in jou taal praat.

You are like the male version of Karen.

In the new year, yes. Looking at 8 more panels and another battery by around Jan/Feb
You might as well look at grabbing them sooner, Not seeing the JA 455w being available too long, Not sure what the heck. Panels seems to be changing wattage's with every shipment but you should be good if you have a dual string controller. Smak on dem 540 Babies:laugh:

I managed to get it working, for one sensor at least and in a messy way with everything in the configuration.yaml file for now which I can clean up at a later stage  I used this as a reference, there are a number of these and all have slight differences from others...

Arg  I updated HA today and now the Victron Modbus stuff does not work, sensors are AWOL, etc.
