You guys are making me feel pretty privileged.

CTC covers
  • Medical aid
  • Provident fund
  • Travel allowance

On top of CTC I get:
  • R750 per month phone allowance put through as an expense claim. I can claim more if I make a lot of international calls or travel internationally.
  • R750 per month Scholastic allowance towards the education of one of my kids (Must have at least 5 years service to qualify)
  • Gym membership at Virgin active (Must have 5 years service to qualify and need to prove you attend regularly. I dont use this)
  • Flexi hours - At least 50% of time must be in the office, other 50% can be worked from home. Can be structured however I want.
  • 26 days leave (need at least 15 years service to work your way up to this level)

Those aren't benefits dude. Those are consolation prizes.
If you jumped ship before those 5 years were up you'd have gotten a larger increase than R2500 in limited benefits. Never mind the fact that you could negotiate 26 days of leave when you jump as well...

Included in CTC:
- Medical aid (tax benefit)
- Pension / provident fund contribution (have to have this)
- Group life cover

Outside of CTC:
- Performance bonus
- Unlimited annual leave (within reason). This is by far my favourite benefit. It is only allowed from a certain job level upwards though. Others get between 17-20 days.
- Cellphone allowance / reimbursement.

I'd have mentioned the free coffee and parking, but mine are at home, so I pay for them. :)

We had the most amazing free coffee and discounted meals in Sandton...
Subsidised meals for the win!

Our offices' pause area received a bean-to-cup machine that only we had access to for all of six months, then lockdown hit and it's been standing idle since:crying:
