Hi there.

iPod Nano 2nd Generation

I have bought some Griffen FM transmitter beginning of last year. I am VERY disappointed with the performance. I have to set the volume of my car radio almost full to have good volume.

So, I am looking for something else but don't want to spend to much. Unfortunately the car radio does not have an auxiliary input.

Best regards,
Deon

Ditto

About a month ago I smashed that Griffin thing against the wall repeatedly until it shattered into tiny, broken little bits that could not be fixed.

Quality and price go hand in hand with this one.
see if you can get a Belkin.

He wants the transmitter not the receiver - iow to play in the car using the stereo.

I've had nothing but good experiences with the Griffin but then I live in PE and there aren't many radio stations to interfere. It also helped that my bee-sting arial fell off. :D

Griffen is the best one out there.

You need to change the frequency if it does not work.

I'm driving around Jo'burg with a Griffen iTrip (linky - mine's and older version). I bought it for a road trip across the US, and it worked just great even where the airwaves were really crowded. My only beef with it is that it doesn't charge my iPhone, although it did charge the iPod Classic we had in the car. Works just great with the iPhone though.

Hi there.

I must say that I had a look at this one. How does the smartscan work? With my current Griffen, I have to manually set the frequency which is terrible. the quality of the audio does also not satisfy.

Koffiejunkie, how do you find the quality of the audio? Do you also have to turn the volume way up to have an acceptable volume?

I managed to borrow a Belkin for my ipod nano.

when it works it works great. no volume issues. but when I pick up my ipod to change the podcast/start the next one it cuts out. not sure if it is a faulty unit or if this is standard.
anyone comment on that?
I have to give this unit back at the end of the week, at this point I would not spead that amount of money for a tempermential device
