I'm going to the US tonight for a month and I won't have any of my gaming devices. I'm wondering if there's some option that I can use to play games. I haven't had great experiences streaming from my PC via like Nvidia Gamestream or something like that though. Perhaps Geforce Now would fit the bill for some light gaming.

Don't you have better things to do with your time over there? Go shoot some feral pigs, check out a southern baptist church baptism, burn a few school books, protest an abortion clinic, shag your cousin, go to a kkk fancy dress, roll some coal, c'mon man learn to live a little :p

Started the Witcher 3, was hesitant as a few friends moaned about combat, but the combat is similar to Assassins Creed, strong attack, weak attack. Though you need a bit more stratergy for battles as some creatures are vulnerable to somethings but not others.
Love the combat actually, throwing down signs to trap wraiths and such.

Aaaand I'm loving it. Fixed loads of issues I had with the 1st one as well as introduce some new interesting mechanics that makes it 1-up the 1st game example gliding and such, and don't get me started on the story, gripping as ever.

Heh! What a backlog I have - kept my sons old PS4 precisely in case these exclusives don't make it to PC - started the first one - really enjoyed but then got distracted by God of War - sadly I haven't been able to game for almost two weeks now - so much other stuff to do....

The problem is throwing down Yrden is pretty much the peak of the combat system.

Upgrade quen so you almost never take damage, rush whirl and once you have enough cash/experience severance on both weapons. Hold attack and win 98% of fights

Then you can just play with the rest of the skills and not worry about spending points.

I think that is why people say its a easy system.

On to finishing Demon's Souls (still the best looking PS5 game imo) in anticipation for Elden Ring this weekend:

I'm busy trying to decide between Spiderman remastered and Demon's Souls. I'm probably going to get flamed for this but apart from being hard, what is the draw to Demon's Souls?

I'm asking because I don't know, I should probably play and see for myself but from what I've heard there isn't really a story or 'purpose' to the game.

Played a few hours this weekend too. Massive step up from HZD but still feels familiar.

Mainly been doing side quests because they're really fun and interesting.

Thinking about what stood out from the past Souls games I've played:
  • Bloodborne: Story and atmosphere/world, absolutely unparalleled. I loved every second of it
  • Sekiro: Combat for sure, I also love feudal Japan settings
  • DS3: Again the story and atmosphere drew me in completely, combat felt good as well
As far as Demon's Souls...the main thing I love about it is the visuals and world/atmosphere. Combat feels good too, although you can sort of feel that it's still an old game underneath a new coat of paint, not sure how to explain it.

If you like dark, gritty, depressed and deprived settings then the Souls games will be a treat. The difficulty element is just one piece of the puzzle for me.

I'm busy downloading Sekiro at the moment, finished watching Shogun series last night...
