I'm busy downloading Sekiro at the moment, finished watching Shogun series last night...
Awesome, hope you stick with it! Combat can take a while to 'click'. But it's worth it!

And remember...hesitation is defeat

Congrats dude!

How long did it take to get that last cipher?

Really not sure, last 4 ciphers took ±23hrs overall. That was one from Biome 6, one from Biome 3 and the last 2 were from Biome 2. I went 6-3-2. I think I finished the Biome 2 ciphers in about 6-8 runs, maybe 10. Just happy I'm done with it now, as much as I love the game, the plat grind was a bit annoying!

All in all 103hrs.

Thinking about what stood out from the past Souls games I've played:
  • Bloodborne: Story and atmosphere/world, absolutely unparalleled. I loved every second of it
  • Sekiro: Combat for sure, I also love feudal Japan settings
  • DS3: Again the story and atmosphere drew me in completely, combat felt good as well
As far as Demon's Souls...the main thing I love about it is the visuals and world/atmosphere. Combat feels good too, although you can sort of feel that it's still an old game underneath a new coat of paint, not sure how to explain it.

If you like dark, gritty, depressed and deprived settings then the Souls games will be a treat. The difficulty element is just one piece of the puzzle for me.
Thanks for the explanation! I think I'll give it a go seeing as a buddy loaned me his copy for Demon's souls.

This game is hard, lots of dying:laugh:

The keymappings are a bit weird and showing controller buttons onscreen is useless for kyb/mouse players. The FOV really sucks. I had a look at pcgamingwiki and there are fixes for many things.

The suspense and atmosphere is cool, had goosebumps.

Playing some Spyro Reignited for the first time :p

Played the original game way back in the 90s but never the sequels. Currently busy with the first game. Brings back memories and it looks and sounds great.

This level though.... Holy crap. Only took about 40 lives to get it right:

It will take a while to click...the game wants you to commit! Learn the attack patterns of bosses and mini bosses, once you have it down the combat system is just *chef's kiss*. Some of the best boss fights ever

Man, King's Quest from the hallowed Sierra Games on GamePass for Xbox S is such fun.

I've had a couple of drinks, but going to get some energy drinks.

Off for the night from work and don't wanna mess my sleep up pattern up, but the Branners is fighting me.

Not played this version, but the game is nostalgic and fun.
