What game are you playing now? (Part 2)

Playing Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning. Not sure how I only found out about this game last week. Reminds me of Dungeon Siege 2 but you play solo and control your character during fights.
Oof

You should've gotten the original version
The Re-reckoning re-release is more expensive and inferior to the original

Re-reckoning fixed a lot of bugs as well as incorporating the DLC, granted it made the game more forgiving as well. So it depends on your point of view I guess.

Demo live for them people old like me

Diplomacy is not an option.
Funny cut scenes.
You start with your castle and have to farm, build, defend and attack.
Reminds me of dungeon keeper

Not so sure about that, unless they patched the re-release significantly since release
At launch a vast majority complained about game breaking bugs, inconsistent performance, lacklustre graphic improvements etc.

There seem to still be quite a few people complaining about game breaking bugs only present in the re-release

Shapez 1 and 2

Seriously good fun

Yeah Shapez is great, although for me it falls flat when my brain realises that I'm just building and that there isn't an end goal (or intermediate as with Factorio when you're fighting off bugs or whatever).

Oh neat, I played the original back in the day. It's not the best RPG ever, but it was quite good.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker is quite decent

A bit tough to get into after being spoiled by BG3 and all it's quality of life additions like voices for every single line, but a solid DND RPG so far

Suppose it is over when you have built a MAM

Update: I played it for about 20hrs. Got to lvl25. Didn't realized how long it is and combat doesn't really change much after you get your main skills. Went online to check how far I was and it seemed to be roughly a 3rd into the game. So I stopped the run.

Yeah, the story/world is right on the edge of being good, but it just lacked something. I guess that's why it didn't do quite as well as other RPG's of the time.

Decided to start a new run of Horizon: Zero Dawn. Last I played through it was in 2021. It looks amazing with everything cranked up to the max at 1440p and 120fps. Got a new laptop recently.
