Why not 3? I've not played 2 for about 2 years now. Though 2 did have some better mechanics I might reinstall it
Pricing. I bought it for my son on gog.com

I had the original Galactic Civilizations for OS/2 back when it was released. Was nice.

Aaah, though GC3 is cheap as chips often I think with all the expansions I've paid about R150. But yeah GC2 is still really good. I spent time on customising ships, I think you can make stripped down fighters to protect your planets.

Played a bit of Skyrim Anniversary Edition today (free tier) as I did not want to start a new game before my leave next week.

The new updated 1440p @ 60fps on Series S (GamePass) was worth the revisit. In fact, I am actually amazed at what a huge diff the "Next gen" update made. It even looks better than old FPS boost version from before well def better than original Skyrim I use to play back in the day on my PC at 1080p.

Partly was a mistake as I now wanna continue my adventure instead of playing Ghost of Tsushima next week...

For some reason I really struggle to play/complete DLC.

Like I really really enjoyed Control, but the “want” to continue on with the DLC is not there.

No idea what I am going to play next.

Done the prologue for Psychonauts 2, but it didn’t really grab me.
Would really love to play an assassins creed game (origins probably from what I have seen), but that will need to wait until it goes heavily on sale.

Still my best one to date, Delux was R199 last year. Think it that price every Xmas sale.

Finished Fallen Order. Amazing game. And although you don't get to
fight Vader, trying to get away from him instead is awesome and the right choice. His brief appearance was pretty damn epic. The final fight against Trilla though was super hard. Toughest battle in the game by far.

Still haven't completed the game 100% but I'm close and it's still the best game I've played this year. In the next game there better be some action in space too. First Star Wars story I know of with none of that which is disappointing.

I've started playing BoTW again on Mastermode. Being underpowered again against juiced up Bokoblins is a lot of fun
Yoh... now you have me going. I love the storyline so won't feel the least bit phased if I do it all over again.
The last time I played I did all the things down to the last korok. Just not on master mode. I think the only thing I might not have done was expose every named area on the map. Notice how new areas you visit get names as you visit them? There were a handful that were still unnamed on my map... keen to do them all on master!

Did the Koroks as well. Seeing the Shrines in orange again, having to travel without the benefit of fast travel has gotten me excited to explore Hyrule again. Mastermode definitely makes you have to think and evade more. Seeing a Guardian on the Plateau was a shock and the Bokoblins really are tough when you have tree branch.

Think I got to around 98% game completed and could never figure out what was missing. I'm trying to get the Korok mask early as I only got the DLC after I had already gotten the last Korok seed.

I actually gave up when playing through the Master Trials dlc, they’re pretty hardcore difficulty level. Should really pick that up again.

I won't say it's the best game I played this year, but it was great. The gameplay itself is fun enough that I don't really care that you don't get loot. The difficulty was spot on on whatever difficulty I played it, probably default or one level up.
The story is good, and the spoiler you posted mirrors my feeling about it exactly. It's not often that a game ends on such a high note.

Preach

I am back in the Skyrim hole after starting a new character after getting the SE edition (Yes, I was still on the original release all this time)
With 10GB of mods installed I see no light at the end of this tunnel

The 1st two series of rooms were quite simple. The last series of rooms was an absolute nightmare. Can't say I am keen to do that over again.

I played on the normal default difficulty. The game became a bit too easy but some of the tougher enemies and bosses were still challenging enough and I still died a lot so didn't want to crank it up.

Small creatures and the undead sisters for some reason I could kill with 1 or 2 strikes and stormtroopers were no problem at all but everything else gave me a nice enough challenge. Also love that mini boss bounty hunters would show up if you revisit some areas. They were pretty fun and challenging to kill.

BD-1 (who btw is one of the best sidekicks in any game) also made my life a bit easier in some fights.
