DRAGON QUEST XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age

tried this yesterday, so far so good. seems pretty decent.

This is my first dragon quest game, the characters look very familiar though.
i'm almost convinced that main guy is android 11 or is it android 17 from DBZ ?
some of the others look like dbz characters too and the "monsters" look like they can be pokemon!

All in all quite cool :D

The concept artist for the Dragon Quest series is Akira Toriyama, he is also the artist/mangaka for the Dragonball series (and several others).

Been playing loads of FFXIV lately, although at times the story may get a little long, I've been enjoying it immensely and there's still so much for me to do and see in the game.
Feels like a breath of fresh air for me in the MMO scene where my usual go-to games have reached a point where I don't really care what happens in the story any more.

Played Homeworld Remastered in the weekend. Campaign was fairly shorter timewise vs what I remembered and I finished it in less than 2 days. The new AI scaling is nuts though so I got the player patch that removes the scaling. I played with the scaling to level 4 where I maxed out my frigates but the AI then came at me with 10 destroyers in the next level. Made it pointless maxing out my army just to get wrecked. So I got the patch and restarted.

Also almost done with Homeworld Emergence, the 2nd Homeworld game. The levels take much longer to complete vs Homeworld 1. Once done with this I will move onto the other Homeworld games.

I have nearly finished it. Possibly the best of the series. It’s much longer, the physics are more robust and the graphics are amazing.

Yeah, I'm having great fun with it. Of course, that's why my (less than 2 year old) HDD decided to randomly die yesterday. :crying:

Played Pine which is a very interesting concept but it feels like it needs a few patches to make it good, going to wait a few months before picking it up again.

Tried out Postal 4 early access it needs plenty work but its fun as hell. Can't wait for full release.

Game I'm actually playing properly is Torchlight its been in my library for ages and never played it now I'm really enjoying it.

Also want to mention Alan Wake and Observer are free on Epic

Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition on PC. Can't believe I waited this long to play it. It starts of easy, but then the difficulty ramps ups noticeably with every new ability - like any good metroidvania game. Well worth the effort, just play it with a controller for your own sanity.

holy smoke dusted off the dust and cobwebs is here. Finally have a afternoon and evening to game a bit in over two months.

Now I can't decide what to :( Might fire up ori and the blind forest again. Still super fun and hard.

Ori is possibly the best platformer I've ever played. The wait for the sequel is too long

In the last 10 days I've played Homeworld 1, Homeworld: Emergence, Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak. Finished all those campaigns. About halfway through the Homeworld 2 campaign.

The remastered space explosions in Homeworld 2 look pretty decent. Only thing that annoys me a bit is the live action cutscenes in the middle of some levels where your units are getting pounded on but you have to watch the cutscene before you can control them. The auto-hyperspace when you finish a level is also a bit annoying as sometimes you want to regroup and build/sort some units but you get thrown straight into the next level.

I won't say the best platformer ever, have far more fond memories of super mario brothers 3, which to be honest is the best platformer ever created up to date .
