I won't say the best platformer ever, have far more fond memories of super mario brothers 3, which to be honest is the best platformer ever created up to date .
Mario is a bit too simple and safe for my liking. Good, but I enjoyed it more as a kid. Ori is super challenging at times (I mean I want to break the controller in half), but I love every moment. Also one of the best looking games I've played and the entire game is just overall amazing. To me it's the perfect platformer.

Ori wasn’t that challenging compared to Celeste or Cuphead

Yup Cuphead is definitely harder. Hectic game. Never heard of Celeste

I recently started Celeste (thanks to the Epic Games Store giveaway) and, even though I’m quite early in the game, it doesn’t feel as punishing as Ori. At least you get to restart only the room you’re in when you “die”, not the last save point you forgot was half the game away... It feels similar to Super Meat Boy in that sense.

Checked out a gameplay video of ori and will of the wisp. 11 feb release date next year isn't bad. Game play is about the same does have some new features, and ori can do some new tricks. This will be the only game I pre order again.

Celeste gets pretty hardcore further on especially if you go for the raspberries and there’s a lot of post-game content as well that’s tough as nails

Pulled the trigger and got myself Darksouls 3. Loved how they mixed some of the game mechanics from 1 and 2. Currently getting my ass handed to me...

SMB3 is one of the best, but Yoshi's Island is even better.

lol, glad I am keeping you on your toes

Purchased my first barn find last night, ran out of money restoring it. Back to servicing other people's vehicles.

Is car mechanic simulator like Gearhead Garage?

I've never found a game that recreates the feel of that classic game.

No idea. First time I am playing a game like this. Definitely worth the money. I love the really satisfying sound of turning those bolts in. :p
Also great walking around a dark barn, searching boxes and racks for parts.

Finally started Metro Last Light Redux today. It's pretty much exactly the same as 2033 but that's not a bad thing. Loving it. Game looks amazing as well.
