Spent far more time playing The Outer Worlds than I had expected, pretty decent RPG so far and I'm hardly a fan of them but more of a tinkerer.

Yeah I'm also getting sucked into it. I find the world much more compelling than Fallout and I can't even figure out why.

I know what you mean. There are a few niggles I have with it (like limited armour and armour upgrade options, finding 99% of the exact same weapons, etc.) howevever I have to force myself to get to sorting and tinkering otherwise I end up hoarding a bunch of junk. Also learnt that you can't just visit any old place at random and think you won't be going back especially if you weren't going there with an objective to do so.

Quite like it though and looking forward to another session tonight, finally got the mechanical buddy up and running so am keen to see how he performs in combat.

I realised it's actually made by Obsidian, not Bethesda. That explains why it's so damn good. Seriously one of the best games I've played in a while, maybe since BOTW.

I am loving Vermintide 2. I know the reviews are bad but if you play with good friends - it is an awesome game!!!

In the warhammer franchise right? Looks good. I have not given it a try yet but will do.

Yes. You can play on your own with AIs but you can play with up to 3 friends. It is often on sale at ridiculous prices. And if you get it and want to join some people playing - dm me

Is anybody going to pick up Death Stranding?

From the reviews I've watched it seems like there is some serious Kojima Hype Distortion Field with this one. Looks like FedEx: The Game to me. And I'm 99% sure if it had been anybody else besides Kojima coming out with a game like this it would have been panned.

TWO HOUR cut scene at the end and the the reviewer still doesn't know what's going on? Tsek! At R1k a game can't be wasting it on looks-trash-but-could-have-some-charm nonsense. I got caught up in the MGS:V hype-train but now, hell no.

Don't like other people's babies at the best of time - and I like a bit more action.

It's an indie game with a triple A budget.

The funny thing about Hideo Kojima is he has a way to make these concepts that sound awful on paper somehow work in the game. That's why he's called a genius. I remember playing MGS2 and finding these huge incomprehensible cutscenes and weird gameplay ideas like hiding in boxes, when I was expecting an action game, and ending up loving it. But eh maybe he's finally disappeared up his own backside /shrug

I still don't get what that game's about, last video I watched about it was a few days ago from digital foundry. Pc version is only coming out in 2020 anyway.

Never got into mgs5 either, that whole base thing and cut scenes annoyed the kuk out of me.

Finished Metro Last Light redux today. Awesome game, enjoyed it a lot.

Last part of the game was kinda hectic, especially the sniper battle. Went into the battle with only about a minute's worth of filters haha. Would not recommend it. Had to retry about 30 times or more I dunno. Eventually made it to the end of that section although I was pretty much completely out of air. Was gasping for air all the way to the top and I think I had maybe 1 or 2 seconds left.

Had no real trouble the rest of the game although it took me a few tries to figure out how to destroy the cannon at the end.

On to Exodus next (eventually). Is the game more open world and do you spend most of the time on the surface?

I guess that's the only decent Warhammer-based title which isn't a strategy.
