It's so good. Going to lose months on this.

It's quite fun, yeah. Can see I'll be spending quite some time with it. I like that they give you some 'quick win' upskilling (like just running a bit increases your stamina levels).

Good grief, he's useless with a bow at the start.

I'm running 1440p, mostly ultra and it's smooth as butter.

Is it that good? Or is it just a badly optimized console port?

Single player is my game of the year already.
Spent hours RP Sandboxing it and didn't feel bored once.
Arthur Morgan should aslo be Playable Character of the year.

Online is trash though...

The single player gameplay does look damn fantastic yeah.

However I was talking about the graphics performance.

Most optimized game I've played in a while.
The quality of the graphics and the performance you get even with a mid spec PC is fantastic.

Really? I'm gladly surprised, I've watched quite a bit of gameplay and it does look really damn good, almost good enough to persuade me to upgrade so I can play it.

Played about 4 hours of Death Stranding. It is absolutely incredible. Gave me goose bumps.

Playing it on a 4K TV with a PS4 Pro and a good pair of headphones! Astounding!

Still Apex.
Games are quick enough for 20 mins and then on with life.

Interesting. While no-one can doubt that the game looks incredible (probably even on the "lower" settings), benchmarks indicate that it performs quite badly on PC compared to other games.

Its expensive. The in-game store is also in US$, so its a costly investment from our perspective. You are looking at $11.95 to $15.95 per car and per track. You get enough free base content to start out, but as you progress through the licenses you need to start buying stuff.

You do get bulk discounts; 10% off for 3 - 5 items; 15% off for 6 or more. You also get participation credits. Enter enough official races during the year and you can earn as much as $40 in credit.

You simply cannot play it at any sort of competent level without a proper steering wheel. There is no AI. Its 100% online against other people. Lots of pro-drivers use it. Lando Norris of F1 is a regular on the server and used it extensively to stay sharp in the F1 off-season.

Its heavily regulated as well through a user protest system. Because people are paying a lot of money, trolling, griefing and reckless driving is not tolerated. Drive the wrong way and the other drivers can and will protest you and you'll be banned very quickly. And because people are paying money to be there, a lot are reluctant to even risk upsetting other people and want to get their value, so overall the driving is far superior to anything you will find on any other sim. Of course there are exceptions, you will come across a troll or two and the driving can still be bad because not everyone is good at it, but once you get out of the rookie stuff and start racing with more serious people, the experience generally improves.

Some people do take it a little too seriously, so have a mute button mapped when the iRaging starts over the in-game voice chat.

Its more a hobby than a game to be honest. If you want a quick arcadey pick-up race or two you have things like Assetto Corsa and Project Cars. If you want something a little more sim you have rFactor2 and Automobilista. If you want to go all the way its iRacing.

What cars do you race/career path you on? Actually let us know when you're competing against Jimmy or Matt Malone so we can tune in....

Well, Assassins Creed Origins, a game from 2017 still struggles to reach a constant frame rate on my PC, no matter the settings.
Same can be said for Odyssey.
They run like crap.

RDR2 not only looks better, but runs beautifully on the same PC. No changes.
