His story is quite deep if you read some of his notes, check his drawings and listen to some of his conversations.

As good as God of War was, RDR2 was my GoTY 2018.

That is the beauty of his character.
His personal story is subtle and possible to miss completely if you do not pay attention.
Where with characters like Max, in the first game there is a big event with his family from the start and that is how You meet him so you already know why he is who he is.

With Arthur it's all hidden.
Only through subtle conversations with other camp members, random encounters and notes do you get hints of what shaped him. His story is not the main focus and yet he is one of few characters who grow as a person as you play.

The R* writers need to be applauded. They created a masterpiece in writing.

Still playing through it, the care and detail invested into the non-obvious story elements is truly impressive, the flavour and depth is incredible.

Indeed they do. Long after you completed the game you'll still be thinking about Arthur Morgan tribute-style.

Theres an achievement/trophy in the game Paying Respects where you can visit all of your fallen companion's grave sites. Visiting Arthur's grave was somewhat of a sad moment :crying:

Yeah, the writing is so good. Like even the random NPCs have depth. The war vet beggar, for example.

It's a great game but some things are annoying. The fact that the walking can be so painfully slow, especially in camp.

And the fact that my thoroughbred horse (which had a high level bond) just disappeared. I ran into a group of bounty hunters who killed me (not the horse), and after I respawned my horse was just gone.

Glad I didn't buy anything on black Friday because RDR2 is not cheap on steam. Busy downloading now. 115GB on a 10mb connection might take a while...

Perhaps we should start a MyBB crew for online :)

Yeah, must admit, after Assasin's Creed Origins and Odyssey things seem very sedate at first, gotten used to it now though...

Wow, gamer commitment is a thing. Here I thought having a half-decent fibre line meant being able to install a game in less than 3 hours.

Can you spot the irony in your post? Borderlands 3 is a mediocre game. RDR2 has one of the most extraordinarily single player campaigns and open worlds of any game ever.

Not everyone agrees on everything in gaming, but the overwhelming majority of gamers and critics agree with the above statement I made. The only trick with RDR2 is to not go anywhere near Red Dead Online.

Still the same for me :)

tell me something, how you finding legendary drops? It was rather poor for me until I got an artifact that had plus 11 luck. From then on it started raining purples and legendaries for me.

Add the mayhem mode where you can rank up your luck as well and its christmas. Although, getting 5 screams of terror shields, for example, is a bit annoying.

The thing is you can only play RDR2 for so long and then it gets really monotonous. I played it from the time it was released and yes I did enjoy the story line but after that its freaking boring. Online was ok but it also got really really boring for me. Each to their own dude, I don't care what critic's think as everyone has their own preference.

Yes the graphics and all are top notch but I personally just prefer Borderlands. Its my kind of game style and I have enjoyed the story line. I think Borderlands is freaking great and I am having much more fun playing it.

People are allowed to have different opinions on different games. I haven't played RDR2 because from what I have read, it's a slog of a game that would bore me to death. Most would disagree, I'm sure. Which is fine.

I love BL3. Call me mediocre.

I haven't found too may legendary drops. Sadly I haven't had too much time to play. Im only on level 11 now with Zane. I'm going to buy the season pass this weekend. I'm just having so much fun exploring and looting. Good guns are a a bit of a pain but I have found some really awesome COV guns that I really enjoy.

Ah ok. I'm L50 doing end game for a bit. The halloween special area also closed yesterday I think. I'm busy grinding to increase my luck before I do a re-run in next vault hunter mode.

I found legendaries to be very scarce early on in the game. Visit Marcus a lot on Sanctuary; some epic guns appear there from time to time. Read the stats; don't just take the score rating as gospel. I often found weapons with lower score rating that I much preferred over higher score weapons.

And collect eridium. Eric sells some amazeball guns. I lurrve the ones that increase damage by 300% for a while after you use your specific skill action. great for boss killing.
