Ah ok. I'm L50 doing end game for a bit. The halloween special area also closed yesterday I think. I'm busy grinding to increase my luck before I do a re-run in next vault hunter mode.

I found legendaries to be very scarce early on in the game. Visit Marcus a lot on Sanctuary; some epic guns appear there from time to time. Read the stats; don't just take the score rating as gospel. I often found weapons with lower sore rating that I much preferred over higher score weapons.

And collect eridium. Eric sells some amazeball guns. I lurrve the ones that increase damage by 300% for a while after you use your specific skill action. great for boss killing.

Awesome thanks Dude! I have checked out Earls too but I am saving up my eridium and keys for later in the game. I will go check out Marcus again and see what he has to offer!

I have also found the lower rated weapons are so much better! So far I am absolutely loving the variety of guns! I just cant wait to open up my class mods. Going to play later and level up but I get so distracted looting

Sorry, meant Earls, as you said :)

Yeah, I also tried to save up for higher levels as it's annoying spending big on a gun that becomes underpowered a few levels later.

But sometimes a sweet firearm is just such a pleasure to use for a while.

Yeah so true! I'm battling to hold out not spending everything on good guns. I will look for a decent one tho to get me though a few levels. I did find a legendary sniper that was awesome for like 3 or so levels then I sold it.

Gosh I cannot wait to finish up in the office and go play :notworthy:

Hehe. Yeah, I'm also itching to go play now :)

Funny thing is, I objected being forced to sign up to Gearbox to be able to use keys; so I have played entire game without them. Also, I keep on getting mails from the manufacturers that I don't know what for, seeing as I haven't signed up.

So maybe use some of your keys and save your eridium for later.

The thing is you can only play RDR2 for so long and then it gets really monotonous. I played it from the time it was released and yes I did enjoy the story line but after that its freaking boring. Online was ok but it also got really really boring for me. Each to their own dude, I don't care what critic's think as everyone has their own preference.

Yes the graphics and all are top notch but I personally just prefer Borderlands. Its my kind of game style and I have enjoyed the story line. I think Borderlands is freaking great and I am having much more fun playing it.

Can you elaborate on why you found it boring? I could barely put the game down back when it released.

The story is captivating. The characters have interesting developments and side stories. The scenery when riding around is beautiful. It's not meant to be a fast-paced action adventure. You're literally a cowboy after all.

The only grindy aspect of the game, which is entirely optional, is hunting for specific skins to craft gear and accessories for the camp.

Also, is Borderlands 3 not one of the most monotonous games ever released? Certainly looks that way from every review I've seen.

Dissing B3 again hey. You asked for it..... ;)

On SpliceGold's behalf, herewith reasons why the game can be viewed as boring.

There are more such reviews, but this is an epic (but very looong) review that I actually read fully. Gave me details which are exactly what turns me off about a game.

Couldn't even play the previous one for more than 30 minutes in total. Meh

Oh god Dude. Do you work for Rockstar that you promoting a game I personally did not enjoy that much. Story line was fine but for me it was fking boring. Amazing graphics and what not but for me that's it.

Some people like olives some don't, some people like pineapple on pizza and some don't. I don't like RDR2 so just get over it. It's boring for me. I don't see any reason why you so offended and all judgemental about a freaking game just cause I dont like it.

Now I am going to play Borderlands 3 and for me its NOT BORING OR MEDIOCRE to me. Each to their own dude respect that

Calm yourself. Your opinion differs from the general consensus and it's perfectly reasonable for someone to be curious as to why.

RDR2 is pretty intense during most gunfights. I guess you just prefer that twitch style shooter action like CoD, Apex or Overwatch. As you were.

Well as I said I'm my first post to you each to their own. You seem to be trying so hard for me to enjoy/like it more and feel the need that I must explain why. I'm calm as a cucumber dude, you seemed to have lost your tits not me

By the way I hate Apex

Just had Witcher 3 delivered for Switch. Played a fair whack of it on PS4 before, but never got the expansion packs back then so looking forward to a revisit of this epic game with all the balls and whistles added.

I never went near RDR2. The first one bored the pants off of me and was more than enough.

The difference being that Spliced simply said he was over RDR2, whereas you actively "attacked" BL3 by rather ludicrous and unfounded statements.

Such as "one of the monotonous games ever?".

Which tells me you are the one who needs to calm down, and not have a hissy fit when your beloved game is not loved by all.

Starting to get really into Red Dead Online.
The multiplayer modes suck, but there is fun to be had free roaming.
Random mutiplayer events can also be great. Like a random fishing competition or train capture.

Pity the economy is god awful.

Hitman 2 (PS4)

Awesome game. Trying to figure out how to assassinate targets is very interesting.

There are a lot of great things about it, but quite a few poor things, too.

The inability to fast travel properly, for example. You can go to large settlements from your camp (eventually), or use the coach/train between large settlements. But if I have to go do something in the middle of nowhere, it's an absolute pain in the ass to get there and back. Like with Flaco Hernández.

I think the below is also broadly accurate regarding challenges, which are normally like catnip to me in games.

The UI/menu system is also not great. It's a pain to find anything and then the multiple-levels you have to go through to get out of it. Ugh.
