Playing Heavy Rain for the first time. Loving it so far. The controls are **** though, especially when you need to shake the mouse back and forth quickly. Took me like 15min to brush teeth ffs. Not even joking. Couldn't back out so was shaking that mouse in all directions. Finished brushing teeth eventually.

The UI/menu system is also not great. It's a pain to find anything and then the multiple-levels you have to go through to get out of it. Ugh.

So much this, meticulous attention to detail in story and world-building yet the UI feels like it was designed and thrown together in a week. Am ambivalent about the slow pacing (cinematic camera on autopilot gets a lot of use - although the buggers could at least give you an auto-pause if you happen to auto-pilot into some enemies  ). I feel the time does give you a chance to appreciate the beauty of the world but it does mean that there you can't really dip into a quick mission before work for instance...

Still that UI though.... Enough to dissuade me from ever going near a console..

Oh god Dude. Do you work for Rockstar that you promoting a game I personally did not enjoy that much. Story line was fine but for me it was fking boring. Amazing graphics and what not but for me that's it.

Some people like olives some don't, some people like pineapple on pizza and some don't. I don't like RDR2 so just get over it. It's boring for me. I don't see any reason why you so offended and all judgemental about a freaking game just cause I dont like it.

Now I am going to play Borderlands 3 and for me its NOT BORING OR MEDIOCRE to me. Each to their own dude respect that

Ha ha, think you have a troll attached to your account dude. Looks like RDR2 was the Game of the year judging by the comments your received.

Nope Dude. Yes it is amazing to look at and was fun in the beginning but I got terribly bored after I finished the story line. Amazing how people just cannot fathom the thought that some people think and feel differently about things. Who cares if it's game of the year? All that actually matters is what I like not what any of your forum trolls think.

Seems you the troll dude. As I have said many times everyone has their own taste and preferences. Maybe try accept that cause not everyone likes the same thing.

Jirre, read my statement again. Not sure why I have to be the troll. Nowhere did I say RDR2 is god's gift to humanity.

Dude seriously. Your entire comment was unnecessary and just what a troll would say  Saying I have a troll attached to my account just because I think RDR2 is boring and over rated is freaking trolly as hell.

My god just because it has amazing graphics and great details does not make it game of the year and really fun to play. I personally got bored really quick with it. People need to chill out and realise not everyone likes the same thinks in games and life. I play what I think is fun just like everyone else.

Ok fine, Bryn is not the troll attached to your account then. Geez. Apparently I am.

Not much better on console either tbh.

Ah ok, so its RDR2 vs Borderlands 3.

From someone who played and finished both I rather enjoyed . . . both.

RDR2 had a rich deep story which appealed to me much like The Last of Us. The character progression and writing was top notch which made up for the crappy UI. I didn't mind the slow pace of the game at all but this being my first Red Dead thought it was normal.

Borderlands 3 was mindless fun, much faster paced and I enjoyed it as well. Not sure about pc but the UI menu system on console was crap as well and the game play felt smooth, the fighting and weapon mechanics were fluid, fast travelling was . . . fast, most times, an over-whelming selection of guns and options to choose from. Fantastic game!

I know. I've tried using a controller as well. Same issue.

Played it at release back on the PS3. Absolutely loved it. You will get a hang of the controls soon enough. Then you wont even really think about it.

The story is incredible. Please see it through. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Love the game. It's just that shake control i absolutely hate. There's something wrong with it and it's been a known issue since 2009 or whenever according to google. I have no issues with the other controls.

Just visited that doctor. He captured Madison and there I was faced with this shake crap again. Had to retry (which meant exiting to menu and reloading every time) over 20 times. Eventually managed to save her. Glad that's over haha. Never been so frustrated and annoyed.

I've played other games with a similar shake control feature but never had any problems with those. It's just Heavy Rain.

Anyway, what's Beyond Two Souls like? Just as good? It's next on my radar. I wasnt really a fan of Fahrenheit.

I only played the first bit of Beyond Two Souls, It didn't grip in the same way that Heavy Rain did. Almost felt too Hollywood in some ways and the "magic" powers didn't fit the genre in my opinion.

Ok finished Heavy Rain. Brilliant game despite its faults like the controls and forced romances (nasty habit of David Cage it seems. At least it was not as bad as the romance in Fahrenheit).

As for the identity of the killer? Did not see that one coming at. All. Especially because it's (or was) my favourite character in the game by far. Bummer. I suspected almost everyone else at some stage haha.

Glad i finally got to play the game after all these years. Well worth the wait.

Really wish they allowed modding like Operation Genesis :(
