I'm with gidza, Starcraft!

Opening scene, 6 terran tanks rolling through alien tundra, 40 or so soldiers trailing the tanks with 10 or so leading the tanks as scouts.

Suddenly 3000 zerglingz unburrow and massacre the entire lot in less than 50 seconds.

The terran panic and call for help, the protoss answer the call. The protoss are also having problems with the zerg in their own homeworlds, and they natrually hate zerg, but, it's not in their nature to form alliances with anybody ...

The next scene opens up on the main encampment, camera flying over 2000 "sprinting" zerglings all being mowed down by frantic gunfire from the men in the fortified dugouts, every now and then a bright flame shoots from the dugouts, turning zerglings into fireballs. The camera flies further back, and we see the siege tanks firing together, and the camera follows the shots as they land, clearing massive holes in the sea of zerglingz.

Then theme it like braveheart and we have a winner, with sequals through the nose, and a series. But, the wars and the balance starcraft managed to attain must be kept alive.

but the plot in the game was very vague- only with a proper rewrite and really good action it will be great though....

....apparently its going to be relaunched by hanbitsoft- but wait and see first ;)

It sucks to have CGI scenes in films and then switching back to actors. You don't get immersed as well as with games.

Another thing I forgot to point out before was, remember how well diablo 1's cinematics were, same with warcraft diablo2 starcraft etc..

Emagine if they could pay blizzard's CGI team the entire budget of the film, instead of hiring expensive crews and actors and fly them to exotic locations just to shoot certain scenes.

That would be an awesome cinematic experience for sure. Even better, what if they could enable imax inside a cgi? Premierre with Silent hill for example.. *shivers*

Dead Space
There's already a Dead Space animated (perhaps anime?) movie out. I saw it in Music Moods in Centurion Mall not too long ago.

Made me wonder whether the games was based on the movie, seeing as the movie looked quite old...

EDIT: AFAIK there is also a Prince of Persia movie on the way. I'm also looking forward to the Bioshock movie. It may well suck, but it would be awesome to see in the cinema...

Stranglehold is already a sequel to the movie hard boiled so it is highly doubtful that they will make a sequel of a movie that was made into a game into a movie again. ;)
