Thats the great thing about not having guns, it means that people don’t have guns. Gun crime is incredibly low in the UK and if someone breaks into your house they won’t have a gun and the burglary will not be violent. Do you think the police don’t carry guns for a laugh? Generally speaking, they don’t need them.
