Nonsense, Fox News is just as much MSM as CNN.
If a person follows any of these they will be fed disinformation.

For instance, a person watching Fox would be made to believe Kyle Rittenhouse is an innocent angel. If they watch CNN they will believe he is a cold-blooded murderer. Neither of these narratives is true.

I recently realized that a lot of people are defining mainstream media completely incorrectly.

They are defining any source with a lot of money and marketshare as mainstream..... as if that has anything to do with it.

Mainstream is not a literal concept but a figurative one. The cultural mainstream zeitgeist in the west collectively is left leaning, thus the mainstream media is the most prominent left leaning sources.

Fox news for example is not main stream because it is centrist right leaning. it's as dominant in the murican media as the DA is in SA politics. Just big enough to make a splash but not enough to really influence.

Fox news hillariously is very fake at times but very rich alternative media to the mainstream. Personally I believe based on who owns it and the managerial decisions made that it's at best controlled opposition the way RT is for russia.

Regarding literal and figurative concepts, the switch to a claim of figurative for a bible passage is a favourite for the Christians despite them arguing the passage literally before they got pushed into a corner rather than admitting their bible is contradictory.

Despite numerous requests for a list of literal and figurative passages in their bible before arguing a point, they have never produced such a list despite having had 2000 years to do so.

This is the quality of debate in the philosophical section on MyBB.
