Still feel 2FA OR the ignore button blocking people from seeing your posts would solve a lot of issues.

Edit: If a "ban" had more weight and the ignore function stopped the ability of people derailing threads even if you can't see what is happening, people would have to grow up very quickly.

Pretty hard in general to piss off mods, but it wouldn't surprise me if there is some bias towards repeat offenders, and rightfully so. If I see some one after a couple of exchanges we are not going to see eye to eye or intentionally being a troll, ignore button or ignoring the thread solves the problem and if you end up with a thread that has a lot of ignores in them, then it is a pretty good indication that it should be a thread to avoid.

IDK there is going to be a difference of opinion on just about everything , some are going to have better logic, reasoning and overall better communication skills then others and it is pretty hard not to look down on those people, and if you are on the other side of the coin being on the receiving end and taking offense that there might be someone more intelligent then you, that has a better understanding of the topic on hand.Generally neither party is willing to admit defeat.Look it is pretty hard to admit on a public forum you are wrong then admitting it to one person in a private conversation.

Generally people always attempt a different angle or start attacking weak points or completely do a 180.I rarely see someone willing to say, hey good argument iam wrong, thanks for pointing out the mistakes I have made, I learned some thing awesome.I will be the first to admit I have a hard time doing it myself.

You either make mybb as fun as you want it to be or as unpleasant as you want it to be, it is your personal choice, no one is forcing any debate or topic onto you.I avoid posting in some sections and topics as a personal preference of not wanting to deal with people that is attracted to those threads.

Mybb experience is entirely a pleasant one of my own making, and have zero complaints and it has been some time since I have been drawn into pointless argument, so meh.

I've had the same. looks like there may be group that DM's each other to bait individuals. It's the reason i now tell those trying to derail threads and lead me off topic they are going OT and I will not be following and be reported and deleted again.

In the political threads some with a different outlook have had me banned from the DA in crisis thread and report me to have threads deleted on other political threads. There appears to be a concerted effort of late.

I have always warned persons before I report and always warn twice. Some have even taken to goading me to warn them and have shown contempt for the mods. Well, we know what happened when i did report them for contempt to the mods and goading me. Afterwards they were completely belligerent towards me for reporting them. Yet they challenged me to.

There really seem to be a lot on MyBB with inferiority complexes and some display a childish immaturity.

For a psychologist or psychiatrist it must be like stumbling upon a funfair - where all rides are free.

Often sources quoted on thread creation are utterly obscure, one can click the link to the source, ignore the quoted content and click on the home page of that source to quickly get an idea of the batschittery that lies ahead.

The most common themes are somehow related to a new work order.
