Sea Point promenade, the kak is everywhere there, irritating as hell!don't see electric scooters either. I think I don't stay in as larney area as I think I do.

in Cape Town by the waterfront there's a roller skating ring that opened up not that long ago. Rollercade.
I used to roller skate then rollerblade religiously growing up and into my late teens, also went to different caravanning spots and they all had either roads or paved surface areas where you could skate and could build up little ramps and obstacle courses. Used to convert cul-de-sacs into roller hockey rings and play matches with the local kids. Man those were the days.

Been to couple of skate rinks in/around Johannesburg. Eastgate shopping mall, westgate shopping mall, Rollegoli in Bryanston.
Friday evenings and Saturday & Sunday seems busy for all of them. Also busy for birthday parties too. None of them are very slickly run though.

a friend of mine has been rollerskating for as long as I know him
he belongs to a group that do roller discos and that type of thing, lots of ladies involved in that activity as well
as a fun fact he is selling a set of rollerskates for R6000
