We used to have old one, then we had a new one because all the old ones was fake(the silver came off them ), but now we only got old ones(except today I got a new one again). Are the new ones now the old ones or what?

I'm confused!

They switched to the new ones but there will still be a lot of old ones in circulation, still for a while I reckon. A new madiba one is supposed to be launched on his bday as well, so we'll have 3 :)

Ooo so if you get one keep it.
Five million copies of the coin have been minted and will go into circulation on July 18.

Mandela is shown wearing one of his signature patterned shirts.

The coin is legal tender, said Mboweni.

"Do use it to buy goods and services," he said.

"It's a celebration of your birthday, but also a celebration of South Africans wanting to share your love, experience and leadership," Manuel told Mandela.

"We want to see it in circulation," Manuel said of the coin.
LOL, I will keep a few. :)
