Here's the thing about NewsHost that I love. They don't have every single thing on their lists. Only the content we all actually care about is listed there. Browsing through the articles on all the other news sites is tedious, and it's very difficult to find that which you actually want. Hope they get their DNS sorted soon.

This.

I assume the site is dead?

I hope not. Alternatives are ok but its just not the same. There's no Moz :D Think the retward on twitter made the mess and well he's on a list at a few places it seems...

But I hope they manage to stay alive and sort out any issues. I think it they were down 100% they would have put up a notification. The fact that there's nothing is still a light for me :)

Or it can be that they just wanted to wipe everything as fast as possible :)

I still reckon if it was a complete collapse then bitfarm would be gone as well.

Have a sneaky suspicion they decided to start over and it doesn't include current members!?!

Most of the members leech only (don't contribute, donate or upload nzb). No big loss if they purge this group...

Maybe not NZB's but the forum was a big part of NH and why everyone is sad to see it go. There's a lot of NZB sites but its just not home :)

Sorry but Stonecold was a champion, and most of the other guys. I dont think they cared that there were more leechers than contributors, this is normal, especially in this country. They did it as a passion for a long time.

Definition of 'leech' is someone who sponges on others. Doesn't necessarily apply to torrents.

Not even sure how that is really possible on a usenet site, most users do not even have upload privileges, and most of the NZB's being uploaded are < 2mb, the data already exists on usenet for majority of the stuff so it realyl is just about getting the .nzb file and uploading that.

If that is how leching works then anyone using Google is a leech. Google provides pointers to information. Nzb provides pointers to information.

You do realize that there were only a handful, maybe 4 or 5 people who actually uploaded to usenet dont you? Everyone else myself too on the rare occasion when I uploaded just copied and pasted a link to to the nzb. So while I am grateful to those who did copy and paste a link to the nzb. Its harsh to call everyone else a leech.

Admin\Mods complained about members not thanking the uploaders i.e. grabs exceeded the handful of thanks. SO being a free-loader is fine in your book!

I can understand that, but with sabnzbd integration it would be a little daunting to go back all the time and find every nzb grabbed and do a thanks for it. I never bothered to actually check how many thanks I got for my nzb uploads. And Usenet uploads.

Wow relax dude. We were discussing leeching. Not hitting a thanks button. Clearly you are confused.
