To be honest I think anything beyond say 120 isn't much of an advantage.
e.g. I'll take 120 plus good social skills over 200 any day.
I don't agree. Over the years, I have meet a few chaps with a really high IQ and I must admit, I wished I was one of them. They see everything in a different light. They work things out much quicker than your average person. They put lots of weight on the consequences of their actions or inactions. I notice right away with whom I am dealing with. Yes, they can be very dangerous if they want to. They will steal and 'do you in' and you won't even notice. But if they want to do good, they will do more good with less resources than I will ever be able to do. I think, intelligence, or lack thereof, is the Achille's Heel of human development. IQ of 200? Yeah, bring it on - any day.
Intelligence will only take you so far. There are many people with insanely high IQ's who are basically drop outs and underachievers - the "gifted underachiever". And intelligence doesn't always equate to common sense. Highly intelligent people tend to be quite neurotic, I'm not sure what affect this will have on a whole society. On the other hand, it is well documented that countries' economic prosperity is closely correlated to their average IQ's, so there's that.
As per title, do you think humanity will be better or worse off?

It's very true that having a high IQ can actually be troublesome in many ways especially socially and It is not the easy road by any means because unless they are able to learn the nessasary emotional intelligence that shapes you on a personal level it can be overwhelming and oftentimes leaves you isolated. However when a high IQ and high EQ do come together it makes for a truly remarkable person and oftentimes these are actually the people who are self critical enough to grow in these areas.
...thats why you drink a lot...it brings you down to the average level lol
