Endless bitching and moaning about how bad something is but not actually do anything about it, blame other people for something that is your responsibility and not having actually taking time, care and pride in whatever you are doing, barley mediocre is good a enough.

I think this somes up most South Africans of all races.

Well, i agree on most, except the "We" and Steve Hofmeyr.
Well, like I said, I know I am generalizing, however it says "South African" on my ID book, so unfortunately I am also part of it...
Steve Hofmeyr, although harmless and seen to be standing up for "Afrikaner" people, is not doing any good in building good relationships between the different races in this country, his actions are increasing the divide and enforcing the "us" and "them" mentality, just like Malema and Mngxitama.

Its more like gut bacteria, we have many cultures not just 1 even within each ethnic group.
Some times some of the cultures work well together, but most of the time they just make a stink

Bosveld, beaches, game parks, vellies, dop n tjop, kak Afrikaanse musiek, bakkies, braai en kuier kuier kuier!

Pretty much sums up my culture in a nutshell. Not sure why there's always that ONE guy at a kuier that HAS to play Kaptein or some other kak catchy Afrikaans tune. Don't be that guy :)

Sidenote - you will struggle to find another culture as diverse as SA's. For all our flaws, we do have one hell of a diverse nation with even more diverse cultures.

I think Steve is standing up for us (Us being white Afrikaans speaking people). No one else does. Everything is about the poor blacks and being historical disadvantaged. Talk about building good relationships..... Do you see any black company/group doing that ? Fokol. It's whites donating food etc, giving away pieces of farmland and helping them farm.

We have no unified culture.

South Africa is as real a country as Belgium is.

The people in South Africa are just too disparate to form a unified culture and identity. The difference is the Flemish and Walloons can maintain the illusion without tearing the whole fvcking place down.

Each group within SA has its own identity and culture with some overlap.

Just to add: About the only thing that can be described as South African is our collective love for sport, but even then the politicians will make sure we cannot get along there either.

Or the drunk guy at a wedding that sits there and shouts "Proooooovince!" over and over.

Our culture can be described with this ANC proverb:
What's miine is mine, and what's yours is also mine.
