I still have fond memories of my gen 1 Hyundai Elantra. Hyundai was trying to impress so the car had all the bells and whistles and never gave any problems.

Probably my Citroen 2CV - similar to the one below, it had a certain je ne sais quoi.

Or my college car - the Ford Fairmont. Once drive across two states with a sofa duck taped to the roof.

2004 Ford Mondeo. Reliable, comfortable and great value for money. I kept it for 13 years

2012 Hyundai Elantra GLS

Comfortable, spacious, automatic was great, not a day's trouble and it was relatively cheap for what you got.

325ti BMW

Got it 2nd hand with 116000km
Drive it for over 5 years with no costs other than services (did brakes myself)
Only thing I had to replace was the emergency light switch that would switch on when going over a bump!

Awesome little car, solid, good weight distribution and nice performance.

The 2.5l was quite thirsty so sold it for something more fuel economic.

Either my old Hilux, or my Jimny. Neither gave issues, and both went anywhere.

I completely agree with this! I still have mine, also the auto version. Purchased mine a week after it was voted COTY, ±107000km on it now. comfortable ride, and I was impressed from day one with the build quality. I only have one niggle with it, the pleather steering wheel is flaking off a bit.

2006 Daihatsu 1.3 - still have it
Cost me nothing except petrol, insurance and servicing. Body parts are becoming quite an issue now
