Actually that won't work. The converter has a male connection, so you'd need that in a female connection.

my plan is to plug in the device,but where the port goes out to rs(which is db9 now) i pug in the adapter and plug the current network cable in other side

Yes, standard ethernet plugs into the ethernet port. On the serial side, the female connection plugs into the serial port which then converts to standard RJ-45 at the other end.

Mu suggestion - use the Planet device I linked you to plus the cable I linked you to and you are done.

Must be said though, that this gives you an extra step in the system, which is an extra potential failure.
