Well, how long have you had it (the CC)?
Look at the full credit report, or does it just give a score? See if it shows the CC account.

If the app doesn't give you a full Compuscan report, then:

Can get your free (or paid-for reports with scoring) from the below websites:

Transunion (have to pay for scoring, free report doesn't have scoring):
https://mytransunion.co.za/

Experian (free report has scoring):
https://www.creditexpert.co.za/

XDS (free report has scoring):
http://www.credit4life.co.za/

Compuscan (have to pay for scoring, free report doesn't have scoring):
https://www.mycreditcheck.co.za/

For a paid credit report that checks XDS, Transunion and Experian at R79 you can go to any Checkers or Shoprite MoneyMarket counter or you can do it online:
http://www.kudough.co.za/shoprite_partner.aspx

For a paid credit report that uses all 4 the credit bureaus mentioned you can use the below link to buy it online for R99:
https://www.credithealth.co.za/complete-credit-report.htm

Will do, but some of those security questions really look crazy.

At least Telkom gave me last month's big deal at R299pm. The worst financial moment in my life was when Cell C refused my their R99pm deal, right after I spent R70 on lunch. A cautionary tale to those of you who don't have any credit history as I did until I was 24.

Mine also took a hit by about 20 points and I haven’t changed my behavior or taken on any new debt at all.

Yoh yoh yoh! Have you made double sure there are no other negative listings or a skipped month or two?
Nope. Paid my Telkom contract off before I bought my place and closed a CC. Still have my main one.

Ahead 6 months on my car payments

No sense this makes. I’ll make some screenshots later tonight

Well you closed two lines of credit. Those lines probably boosted your score and now you don't have them any more.

Remember that the longer you have a line of credit the better it is for you. For instance, cancelling a CC you had for years at one bank to get a new CC at a different bank will hurt your score

Also, it sounds like you bought a house and got new insurance, which can also worsen your score because you took on new debt. In the long run the score should return to what it was or even better because something like a home loan can be a 20 plus year old line of credit

Home loan is a bazillion times my CC limit but you do make a good point.
Credit is a strange beast.

Going through my credit report, it says I'm married. :wtf: could this have to do with me losing my ID a little while ago?

You should check that out with home affairs ASAP. There is always the risk that someone uses your identity to forge a marriage for whatever sinister reasons. Not safe at all. See if home affairs offers a site for you to look it up

Hi guys,

Have any of you ordered the report from Kudough.co.za? Its a painful and slow exercise but I need help with something.

On the web site, it just simply shows my score for XDS and Experian ( I thought there would be more details). And then under Overdue Accounts it says I have 1 overdue but it can't expand to show me which account that is. Am I doing something wrong, or is their site really that ****ty?

Also, there is an option to "View Report", which I think should be a link to a pdf with more details, but nothing is shown when I click there.
