I'm looking forward to not being able to hear women and children. Sadly, I've got a few years to go.

More likely it's due to the fact that Youtube's sound codecs are nowhere near good enough for proper hearing tests and frequencies above +-16kHz get cut off entirely.

Well this is strange because I could only hear the 8000Hz(Everyone) and 19 000Hz (Under 20). I couldn't hear any of the other frequencies. I'm 28 :wtf:

Only heard the first one......:crying:
No wonder, unlike other people, I don't hear voices in my head! :p

This test is complete bogus. I can hear 19kHz easily, just confirmed by this test - http://mdf1.tripod.com/test-tones.html (might also be limited by the equipment used).

But on that video the last thing that makes a sound is 15kHz. I suspect it is probably the audio compression. Nevertheless, it renders the test in the OP useless.

Doesn't audio compression discard frequencies that you generally can't hear? I wouldnt trust the youtube video. Play an uncompressed WAV, or AIF file and I guarantee you will get better bresults.

I'm surprised I can hear the under 40 frequency considering all the abuse my ears have take over the years. I am 30 so I can live with that.

Never mind that, I'm sure the quality of headphones used plays a roll too.

I'm gonna try this with a cr@ppy headset, then with my Sennheisers...
