Lifestyle - I like to pitch at the dealership with pt-short and old t-shirt, sometimes bare feet or plakkies. It always amazes me how the sales guys avoid you.

The look on their faces is priceless when you leave with a new car 2 hours later...

I buy cheap... I buy a car that will be the cheapest and trade that off against how much kark it will give me and/or how likely it is to break down at the roadside...

I feel very little for cars... they are a pain in the backside and money-suckers.

I'm a Value shopper through & through & you okes?

I guess I'm all of the bolded and then also a practical buyer.

Value: Do I really want to pay R30 000 to R50 000 more for some colour coded mirrors and door handles and mostly other useless crap? No way José. Need to last me a good while, like 10 years?

Lifestyle shopper: Well, to go outdoorsy one needs some ground clearance and its actually go its uses on urban road (badly designer shopping centre exits and bad speedbumps and potholes -a SUV should have low profile tyres, the move rubber compared to rim ,the better) and can tow my trailer and maybe later mini caravan.

Methodical shopper: this but on FFW, a week more than enough time to make a list of what you need and what meets that best. Which of the models have NA petrol engines (unless they give me a warranty on the turbo for 10 years, they can stuff it and diesel? Shove those injectors up your derrière and it always has a turbo). Which have 108pcd 4-stud wheel as my trailer is fitted with, for wheel commonality (can have 3 full size spare wheels for those long dirt road trips), which has the adequate rating for towing said trailer.

Safety-conscious shopper: Important if you are going to transport loved ones frequently and often for long distances, as many airbags as possible.

I am totally impulsive, but I only buy what I want to buy.

Once went out to buy Hot Cross buns ( day before Good Friday), and came home with a new car, plus the buns!

That was back in the day when Wesbank guaranteed an answer within 15 minutes - it would be totally impossible today.

Walk through many shops, drive the things, try the things, google the things, read reviews, hellopeter and many other stuff before deciding then wait a bit more for best available price.
