well mine is limited to 99 folders on a flash.

I suppose you can check what the format is on flash and reformat an external the same but is it possible? Is it worth it locking an external to your car?

i find 4gb is as much music as i need during a phase.

i have 4 x 4gb in the car...

rock
metal
pop
instrumental/classic

Sure mine can do a lot more remember it picked up track 125 once,
Problem is i have an external with fat partition
That dosent get picked up, even with a external power off the ciggarette lighter.
Tried setting same cluster size, didnt help.

Thats why im trying to find out what is the specs online, or a firmware upgrade or a trick to get it to work.

What size is the external hdd? Going out on a limb and saying the deck won't pick up units bigger than 32GB FAT32 (maybe 64GB if you're lucky) - it probably also won't pick up flash drives bigger than that (I'm going on the sizes that current cell phones support, but this is pure guesswork- the limit might be 128GB or even 256). Or maybe it is down to drivers/interface, who knows...

JVC cheap quality deck. probably around 800smackaroos you will het usb and front as well as rear aux input with 4ch out for amps.

Ah decent, I want a green and black one.

Anyways, is this something I can easily install myself or should I just pay someone and how much can I expect to pay?
