Hello all. I've been reading through a book that teaches HTML and CSS. Now, I'm nearing the end of it and all is well. All I want to know is what should I study next? Javascript, PHP etc etc.

Thank you:)

PHP would be a good idea now. When you know PHP, you can start learning Javascript if you want to.

I'd rather go for Javascript before PHP, but yeah, both are important ones to go for.

Javascript, then PHP or any other server language. You can use Javascript right now with your other newfound skills, and the three integrate more tightly than any server language. You will use the server language later to help create your HTML, CSS and possibly javascript, but you will most likely need client side script in any case (and with libraries like jQuery you can get a whole lot done anyway).

Good luck!

Both equally important but from a practical standpoint I find PHP easier to debug, therefore it should be easier to learn to program than javascript.

You'll find they go hand in hand and end up learning both together along with some SQL.

From a debug point of view, may I suggest the FireBug addon for Firefox for debugging JavaScript. Nothing else comes close.
