Hi guys

Looking at getting a new phone, I really like the galaxy s3, but wanted to know if there's anything better then it with the other manufacturers HTC,Moto,LG.

Should I get the S3 or is there something better. Oh and android is a must I don't want win phone or iOS

S3 would be my choice.

I've got the S2 and had the opportunity to play with a S3 this weekend, it's a fantastic phone....and actually feels smaller than my S2. :wtf:

I am going to get the S3, think I will get the pebble blue since most people have the white one. I like the android user inter face, and since I had a blackberry its going to be a huge change

I got the S3 on Friday. Was trying to source the One X, but only Vodacom had stock. I have the HTC Sensation with Vodacom, but I want to stay as far away from Vodacom as possible. VC is expensive and has pathetic reception where I am based.

So I decided on the S3 with CellC. I don't regret my decision at all, both on the phone and service provider.

Rather wait, there'll be a S4 out soon or wait for the S5. Or rather get a phone now and start walking around with a smile on your face instead of struggling with that BB. I am more bias towards HTC. I would vote for the One X, but the S3 is equally good if not better.

The main reason I would choose the S3 over the One X is the function where you can take pictures while video recording.

The main reason I woud choose the One X over the S3 in the solid construction and feel of the HTC. It's not so plasticy as the S3.

If you want to get software updates and the best possible Android experience, there's only one option: Nexus.

Unfortunately, it's a bad time to buy a Nexus since the current one is nearing the end of it's product cycle. There's probably a new one coming out in a month or so, but who knows how long it will take to get to South Africa. Still, if you're willing to wait, synchronising your own personal upgrade cycle with the Nexus release cycle is well worth it, in my opinion.

They both have the feature. But the S3 camera is slightly better than the HTC, plus the Samsung has much better battery life.

What did it for me was the fact that you could remove the battery, and add storage. I mean seriously, who's dumb enough to make a phone with no SD-card slot in 2012?

I have a 8Gb card in my phone for almost 2 years and have never had the need to delete anything or even remove the card.
