Thank you for asking this question as I was also wondering which phone was the best buy currently and although I have read up extensively on your chosen phone's reviews from various sites, I still had a bit of reservation with regard to purchasing it. Thank you also for replying back to your own thread with your own opinion on the phone that you have decided to buy.

As for the recommendations that you wait for the next best thing - the problem with that argument is that you will be waiting forever since technological advances are a certainty and today's technology is already outdated. The need to have the latest or best will never be satisfied for very long as something newer or better will always be designed by the same company or a rival company in order to compete with the current product offerings.

My advice isn't necessarily to wait. In fact, this is my grand unified theory of Which Android Phone to Get (tm):

1. If it's been less than 6 months since the latest Nexus release in SA, get that.
2. If it's been more than 6 months since the latest Nexus release in SA, wait for the next Nexus and get that.

Either way, from then on your update cycle will be synchronised with the Nexus release cycle, and you'll be sorted.

I have a 8Gb card in my phone for almost 2 years and have never had the need to delete anything or even remove the card.

Well then you probably don't need a high-end smartphone.. Movies, games and music take up a lot of space. My old Xperia also had an 8GB card that was never full but now 25GB just won't cut it.

There hasn't been much concrete evidence about the new Nexus devices. I think there might not be an announcement or there might many announcements. Like the rumor of 5 Nexus Devices by November. So ya. My dream is a HTC One X+ Nexus device. Hope it will be better.

Fully agree with you!

My 32GB SD card is not big enough for my entire music collection, so my best stuff goes on there.

I use the 16GB internal storage for movies (approaching 8GB :(), cos my SD card is only Class 4.

I decided on the pebble blue, I am really enjoying this phone except it feels odd without my BBM contacts anymore. The screen is amazing and the camera wow, I remember I had the Omnia before my Blackberry, the Omnia was a horrible phone but the Galaxy this is a truly amazing phone with apps galore!

I used to be pretty enthusiastic about my Omnia  But yeah it was older tech with resistive screen weak CPU and WM6.5.
