Did you know that :q! doesn't work in Notepad++

I tried it and I had two screens open with just cheatcodes (http://www.lagmonster.org/docs/vi.html) that thing is a brain breaker. Emacs for the win.

If you appreciate the origins; then it's easy to understand their design.
I certainly prefer full featured IDEs, but you'll be hard pressed to find something more versatile for remote terminal sessions.

it was before I was born so for in terminal edits I use the easy to use nano
