What speed should I expect on Vodacom's 3G?

Sorry, just to lazy to search the forum.

Anyways, got a vodacom sim and put it in my new N91 to play around with 3G (since there isn't 3G reception in Plett). I know the 3G's max speed is 384k, but so far the max speed I've been getting is about 13k or 1.6KBps.

Is there something wrong with the network today or should that be the what I should expect?

BTW, I have full reception, according to my phone.

In the mean time I have searched, and well, one thing I can be certain of, 13k isn't normal. Not that i didn't know that before.

why would it be so obvious? The phone is set in UMTS only mode, so i'm obviously only picking up 3G

Well "normally" one should expect 200-300 kbps. But it seems all the networks have their problems now and then. How's the speed this morning?

When trying to download something it started at about 16k then for about 10 seconds went at 120k then went back to crawling at 13k

sorry how's the signal on your phone? and what's the 3g coverage like in your area according to vodacom's official map?
