What speeds can you copy from ESfile Explorer to PC?

When I copy files(normally pics from the camera app) from ESfile Explorer on my G4 to PC(windows) via 300mps N Wifi router I get around 500KB/s copy speeds, sometimes it tops out at 1Mb/s but not often. Copying from laptop to PC I get 3-5Mb/s.

Does that sound normal, what kind of speeds do people experience copying files over Wi-fi visa Esfile?
I really would like to get better speeds, copying 1GB takes 25mins and I'm standing right next to the router/computer :(

Large amounts of data I either use a cable or start it and forget it.

Phones have lower copy read/write speeds than other media (and it's even worse if the SD card is used)
Just use a cable.

It is also the phones flash memory that is a limiting factor.

It's most likely the phones wifi, it is made to be power saving, more so than your laptop.
Just plug in a cable.
I get about 500kB/s to 1.5mB/s copy speeds with ES files explorer on my phone if I am standing next to the router.

Ok so what I'm experiencing is normal?
That is quite disappointing it being 2015 and all and a phone being built around its wireless capabilities, a G4 is current spec hardware would have hoped for faster. Though I don't think it's the G4's fault.

Ag noe man! :(

Any reason you can't plug it into PC?

ES to ES, phone to phone transfer (via my wifi hotspot) cruises along at around 4MB/s.

Going via a router will move the bottleneck to there- MiMo should help. OR, add connect the PC via LAN, so it's only the phone on the WiFi :)

I get around 1.88MB/s with my S4.

Waay to many variables for accuracy.

Would like to see his phone on your network and your phone on his for true comparison.

Say what!! What speeds do you get computer to computer on that network?

That's the speeds I'm looking for. Perhaps I need to get a new ac compatible router?
My router is 300mbs N and the pc is connected via gigabit lan(on both sides) to the router.

This explains why I'm seeing those speeds. My server and router link is gigabit so no bottleneck there.

My pc to router connection is also gigabit and my link speed is 58mbps, how can mine be so much slower?

The S6 uses different/faster internal memory than other phones, and has no SD card either which can be even slower.
The reason why Samsung said they didn't have the SD card slot was because their internal memory was lightning fast and a SD card would have just ruined the experience. Other phones both don't have internal memory that fast and they have SD cards which can further slow things down.

I've come across an article which say at 20Mhz that maximum transfer speed is 72Mbps only at 40Mhz can it reach 300Mbps.

I don't have an sd card in my phone.

I'll check the 40mhz setting, I have seen it before.

The internal/external SD card speed has zero to do with it, if it did it would affect USB transfer rates as well.

My phone with otg USB is capable of 27ish megabyte per second transfers so it can't be the on-board memory either.

I think the 40Mhz setting affected overlapping of channels. Not really sure how.
