I have a stack of seven or eight hard drives I've "collected" over the years. Need to get rid of them but don't have the time to hook each one up to an enclosure and permanently delete files etc.

How can I get rid of them (or destroy, although I don't have the torx bit to open them)?

I heard you can take them to an ewaste container at hifi corp, anybody used that?

@Papa Smurf, no microwaves, no fire, no battery acid. Thanks.

Ohh... Interesting. I'm nosey that way. Country? Feel free to PM if it's not public.

Dijkland... I'm getting myself wooden shoes and a bicycle first thing.

Technically I'm not allowed into the country yet but that doesn't stop my wife from selling everything, so I just go with it: here I am, destroying hard drives.

Nice one. My daughter went recently and loved it. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I hope you ride (bikes).

I had some 64GB sd cards which I wanted to get rid of. I decided not to drill into them, instead leaving them in my Philips airfryer for 12 mins at 180c worked !!
