Some of the riders lie about drivers, I remember I got a trip sometime ago. Before I got there the lady ask why my face don't match with the one on the profile. I ask her why because I'm.not there yet, when I got there she was so.ashamed I canceled the trio worried what more can she say after the ride. You guys are worried about old cars whilst you are the one mistreating them. You are paying less now where do you expect people to get money to fix these cars with these low fares.
Are you saying the passengers are mistreating the cars, that's why they are so fcked?

Haha

I used Uber when in Durban South Africa. Cars were terrible, windows always rolled down and the driver was listening to loud music. One of them was high af and didn't even realise he picked me up yet.

Worst was the one that had child lock enabled on the rear door, so you couldnt get out and he had to open the door for you.

Dangerous.

From what I understand (and this was told to me by a Bolt/Uber driver), the Uber app forces the driver to take a selfie when accepting a trip. It's not just a photo, they ask the driver to move their head up and down, and stick their tongue out, and a few other things to confirm the drivers identity. Not sure if it's random or every trip. Bolt on the other hand doesn't give a damn (again, according to the Bolt/Uber driver I spoke with). Bolt has no such features.
Still would make more sense at the time of each pickup.

There is some truth to what the user was saying. I do recall some drivers tell me about passengers they had, who threw up in the vehicle owing to heavy drinking.

As for clear destruction, like smashed windscreens, broken door handles (one Bolt I was on had no door handle in the inside, hahaha), I am finding it hard to believe a passenger would have caused that. Also been on a few Bolt's where the engine sounds were not normal, hahaha :D

Yeah drunkards are bound to throw up, but the terrible physical state of the cars is purely neglect.

The side that serves as always been seen as the bad side, scary or dangerous.

Let's check "Rider Vs Driver" who's the real victim?

Rider : on the rider profile you can see
1- name of the driver
2- picture..
3- colour of the car
4- car registration number
5- ratings
6- number of trips since...
7- mark of the car
All these details are given to the rider for a reason.

To check number 1, 2, 4, 7 if these don't match "wrong ride" for your safety cancel the ride and request another one.
NB. You are 99% safe when check number are ✅ the 1% left is dispute or disagreement. And the E-hailings have all details and infos of the driver (the one on the profile).

Driver: on the driver profile you can only see :
1- name of the rider
2- ratings
3- number of trips (bolt only)

What that means?
It means that the rider can be anyone/anything (guest, criminal, thief, ....)
The only confirmation the driver has is the name (ask for the name to confirm )
NB. You get people (it can be anyone...) that stand on the side of the road and ask people to request for them (untraceable)

Again, who is the victim? Who must always check is back?

about it!

And both Uber and Bolt take the lion's share of the profits, for an app that has existed for years. It must be kak being an Uber / Bolt driver, they are exposed to the most risk of all 3 parties.
