this, the ANC cant take a haircut, cant stop stealing cant put the needs of the needs of a nation in front of their greediness.
typical African government like anywhere else in africa that uses the country fiscus as a slush fund to waste on expensive cars and overseas trips.

guess Iran and Hezbollah arent as generous at the ANC wanted.
and now the US wont give them money for being black,

now people are asking questions they cant answer, and now its VAT hike.
 
It doesn't really matter - there is absolutely nothing anyone can do about it. Even if all the non ANC parties stand together and reject the budget, it will still pass somehow.
 
I would have preferred that 2% VAT increase.

The speech is unnecessary, the audacity, a gathering we are expecting to "attend" announcing the many new ways we are going to be made poorer. Next time just post to the SA WhatsApp family group chat. "New ways we can and will tax you into poverty" shelved for now:
Vitamin d from the sun tax, oxygen intake per person per day for 1hr (growth potential) the success tax - you have too many nice things, like you succeeding in life, we gonna tax you back into that struggle bracket!
