What do you think the government should do with SAA?

Assets don't require money to be pumped into them.Government has a proven track record of not being good at managing state owned enterprise as well as taking public funds to keep them going. Government is pretty good at letting money get stolen and/or not go to the desired destination.
SAA is an asset to South Africa, but SA should move away from companies being paid for by the very low proportion of tax payers in this country.

Cut staff complement--to Emirates guidelines
Privatise SAA Technical Services--strictly award by open tender, minimum 3 tenders and inspect facilities and staff competency.
Outsource Cabin Crewto Emirates guidelines
Outsource Pilotsto Emirates guidelines
Prohibit any luxury company vehicles-at any level, no suv at all, no trips anywhere without full board approval, no entertainment extravaganzas, employ a proven absolutely incorruptible purchasing mnager/director and make tendering transparent and mandatory for all purchases.
Turn it into a business for profit, not a loss to the taxpayers.
