what wrong with mw 512?

we use this at work and i have been doing this huge downlaod 1.2Gb
from some dodgy international site and the avergae speed has been inbetween
30-45KB/s

that seems wrong or is MW finally working again?

my modem merrily slaves away at an average of about 10KB/s these days. That is not fast but i do a regular 20 gig a month. It wont be long though till I move over to the ADSL alphabet soup.

I just babysat pulling down a 366MB .iso on a MW512 account today, started at 14:40 and almost exactly 2hr later I was done. Note: I use Free Download Manager running multiple threads in order to saturate the line/get the best possible performance. Also, while doing this I've scratching around another download site (softpedia.com, love it!) looking for HDD toys; obviously response time was a bit challeneged while running the big dl, but not to the point of unusability.

I'd call that a definite win.
