Doesn't seem to be working on my HOX. Well tbf it didn't really seem to work on my N1.

However @ milomak

addfree simply adds blocks to your hosts file, nothing more, if the adverts are coming from an unknown provider or ip address it wont work.
You can always track down the ip of the advert(s) in question and manually update your hosts file and/or report it to addfree so that they can include it in their database.

Possibly a stupid question, but you did actually run it, grant the permissions and then download and update your hosts file, its not exactly automatic.

You could also try AdAway. I haven't done any exhaustive comparison between it and AdFree, but they do basically the same job, and maybe it will work for you.

yeah after posting the op, i went to adfree and looked at what others had installed. saw adaway and installed it. doing a better job than adfree for whatever reason.
