What's quicker: line move or new installation?

All going well we should be moving house in 2 or so weeks. Move is to another house in the same suburb and should also still be connecting to the same exchange. Not concerned about keeping the same phone number.

Would it be quicker to have my existing vdsl moved to the other property? Or alternatively cancel existing and order a new line?

Depends on the area, often a move cannot actually happen as the number range isn't the same in the exchange. In your case it's quicker to move

Got nothing to do with it, you can transfer your line from jhb to cpt if you want to, they just give you a new number in the process.
