Thats the great thing about anime, such a huge variety and style. I love the fact that peoples imaginations can really roam free and visualise, without the restrictions of age etc.

Oh, not anime but the original Tom Macfarlanes Spawn is excellent ( series not the movies ).

And op, checkout AniDB, it has a similar comparison tool for stuff you like.

Lol Yeah I am a fan of live action horror but not anime, weird. Some people never expected that I would like the teen drama stuff. But some of it is actually pretty decent, and really funny. Been switching over to manga a bit as well.
Some of the mech stuff is okay, I guess. I never watched dragon ball other then the live action. Just prefer stuff that is easy, fighting is okay, not too much.

Going to give bleach a spin this week, don't know whether I will like it, and have fairy tail lined up and need to finish season two of black butler.

Try Berserk. New movies are decent too but the third is quite heavy.

Thanks will do

Had a look at the other stuff I watched.
5 centimeters per second
okko's inn (okayish)
Kikki's delivery service (Story is meh, animation is great)
Summer wars (okayish)
Children who chase lost voices (very spirited away vibe, really good)
The garden of words. (really great animation, okayish story)
Princess mononoke (Another great spirited away vibe, pretty decent)
Time of eve (Interesting, but not really enough substance)
Fireworks (teen thing, interesting take on time travel)
I Want To Eat Your Pancreas ( Really sad, but great drama, have the kleenex and man card handy)
Colorful ( was meh)
Steins gate ( okayish)

Still, best I have seen recently still has to be a silent voice.

Want to kill a couple of months?
One Piece.

The older style animation at the start of the show might put you off initially, but the story just gets better the further you get.
Still one of my favorite shows.

Boku no Hero Academia is also one of my favorites right now.

Samurai champloo
Trigun
Cowboy bebop.
+1 Samurai Champloo. The humor and mix of hiphop vibes & samurai is great.
Trigun and Bepop also fun.

Dead Leaves (movie) - completely bonkers and the animation is cool.

I really like the 1997 Berserk anime - the cg in the newer one's didn't do it for me. Guts is one of my favorite anime characters ever.

Hmmm, the Macross universe is big, but for something short and mostly self-contained with some fun fight scenes, Macross Zero:

Seems my tastes differ a lot here.

Just finished Danmachi ot, going to start the two main seasons next. With the exception of the girl love, it isn't too heavy on the fighting, easy to follow, nice on the eyes and senseless fun.

Even thought it is cancelled about to start D.Gray-man looks easy enough to follow and enjoy.

So I just finished Dragon Ball Super and while it did take me back to my childhood days of Dragon Ball Z (shout out to SABC 2) I was disappointed from episode 100 yes that includes the final fight vs Jiren,

I've watched some of the mainstream Tokyo ghoul, Full Metal Alchemist, FLCL, Food Wars!, Black Bullet, Hunter X Hunter, Naruto and One Punch Man but I think what I'm seeking is a more mature scene than what shonen has to offer me.

I've been told by several people to check out One Piece but after Naruto I don't think my brain will be able to handle over 900 episodes unless I stick to the canon episodes.

I'm keen to hear what you've guys have seen and why you enjoyed it.

Personally I really enjoyed Tokyo Ghoul the first season specifically because of how raw the anime is, no really the creators aren't shy at all.

Decided to watch Dead Leaves again. There's a 2004 english release that's great - proper screen size and I prefer the dub to the original. Non-stop madness from start to finish.

Think I'll compile a list with all the comments then add it to my website, link it here as well if that's okay with the mods.
