What's that game called?

Hi,

I've been pulling my hair out for the past couple of days.

When I was still in school, about 1996, I used to play a game on the PC which involved top-down racing. This was before GTA.

You started with an old beat-up Beetle and then gradually worked your way to the top. You could shoot your apponents and even sabotage them before the race started.

This was one highly addictive game, and I want to see if I can find it somewhere.

If anyone has any idea what it's called, and/or where I can find it, it would be appreciated.

we used to cheat in this game... we once found out that if you had a joystick plugged in and held down the shoot button on the joystick and on the keyboard... your lazeer would freeze in mid air.. and then the dude infron of you would get zapped to crap if he drove into the infinte lazer beam

One of the First real PC games I ever played was called Death Track. Was great fun. Been waiting in vain for more than a decade for a decent remake from the EGA/VGA graphics version.

Lol, Death track, that brings back memories There's a game called Crashday which has tried to bring the carnage of automobiles and heavy firepower together again.
