The big thing here is what the best modem to use with linux doing the routing/caching/proxying/authentication etc.
I read up and got the idea that any modem with an ethernet port will work without any hassles as a pppoe modem with linux. So I go out and buy a NetGear DG632, only to find out that the damn thing doesn't do PPPoE from Linux. Although it does work from windows.
Any help would be appriciated.
BTW: The device shoud have inherent support for dynamic dns even tho i won't use it while it's a modem. Preferably no wireless.
Or if anyone managed to get PPPoE working with the DG632, that would be the best info to hear.
